Dorothee Liebscher and Christine Gallmetzer open doors, both literally and metaphorically. In their joint exhibition, 'Große Aussichten' (Great Views), they offer insights into fascinating parallel worlds oscillating between reality and dreamlike utopia. These fresh studio works deal intensively with interstices and transitions, whether spatial, temporal or emotional.

Dorothee Liebscher combines sensually luminous colouring with architectural fragments reclaimed by the gentle power of flora and fauna in her works. Her pictures depict a subtle resistance and a natural transformation that breathes new life into architectural rigidity.

Christine Gallmetzer's pieces focus on moments of transition: the view through an open window or the leap into cool water. The artist creates spaces of sensation and longing, reminding us of the courage it takes to leave the familiar behind and embrace the unknown.
