DECADE (10.11.2022 - 19.01.2023)
10-year anniversary Galerie VON&VON
In November we celebrate our 10th gallery anniversary and kindly invite you to our anniversary party in our gallery space on 10 November at 7pm.
To mark the occasion, we are presenting a group exhibition with our gallery artists Aatifi, Laura Aberham, Mahssa Askari, Olivier Aubry, Casagrande & Recalcati, Michael Dohr, Gunda Förster, Rayk Goetze, Yijie Gong, Alfred Haberpointner, Josef Hirthammer, Paul Jacobsen, Dorothee Liebscher, Angelika Platen, Oskar Rink, Leszek Skurski, Leif Trenkler, Mirko Schallenberg, Constantin Schroeder and Miriam Vlaming.
The exhibition shows a cross-section of our ambitious gallery programme. The featured works could not be more different, representing figures, abstract works, colourful reduction and exuberant colourfulness. But it is precisely the juxtaposition of these that allows the authentic signatures of the exhibited artists to emerge clearly and shows our range of the most diverse art movements, offering visual experiences of mysterious imagery and multi-layered levels.
Some of the artists are already established on the art market, others are still in their first steps, some we have represented from the very beginning, others have come along later. We show our gallery artists both in individual and group exhibitions, as well as at art fairs. For years we have been represented at Art Karlsruhe, Paper Positions and Positions in Berlin, and since this year also at KIAF in Seoul, Art Toronto and Art Miami.
In addition to the extensive participation in fairs and the exhibitions in the gallery, we promote young artists by offering an annual art prize, the PLAYGROUND ART PRIZE, with an international jury since 2016. In this way, we directly experience the long-term development of young talents and actively recognise, promote and position their innovative ideas and creative impulses.
In addition, since 2016 we have been involved in the initiative, organisation and coordination of the ART WEEKEND Nuremberg for the local art and cultural landscape, in order to consolidate the cultural location of the European metropolitan region of Nuremberg in the present.
